Divers search for missing after yacht off sinks in tornado off Sicily

Seven people are missing after a 49-metre yacht was sunk by a tornado during a storm off the coast of the Italian island of Sicily.
The British-flagged boat, which had 22 people on board, capsized about 5am on Monday off Palermo in the Mediterranean.
Fifteen people, who reportedly include a one-year-old child, have been rescued. They are all in stable condition, according to news agency Adnkronos.
Another seven are unaccounted for, said Luca Cari, spokesman for the Italian fire rescue service.
Divers from the fire department were on Monday continuing to search around the vessel, now at a depth of 50 metres and nearly 1km from the coast.
A helicopter and rescue boats were also at the scene, Mr Cari said.
A fierce storm, in which water spouts formed, battered the area overnight.
Daily newspaper Il Giornale de Sicilia reported the yacht was flying a British flag and had mostly British passengers on board but others from New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Ireland, as well as British-French citizens.
The Ansa news agency said the boat, which it said was named Bajesian, had been moored at Porticello on Sicily west coast before set it sail on Sunday evening.
The British Foreign Ministry had no immediate response to a request for comment.
This is a developing story …
