    Description

    Offered is a scarce piece of advertising signage manufactured by
    Schaefer Ice Cream Cabinets
    of Minneapolis, Minnesota,
    circa early 1900s
    .
    The company was founded by Harold L. Schaefer for the purpose of manufacturing ice cream cabinets, combination ice cream and bottle goods storage cabinets, soda dispensing units, serving counters, soda fountains, etc.
    This piece was obtained at an auction liquidating the contents of a long time East Berlin, Pennsylvania ice cream business called Lau's Ice Cream.
    The metal sign is 8" wide x 2 1/2" tall x 1/4" deep and is in very good vintage condition with age wear to be expected for an item that is nearly or over 100 years old.  Two original holes exist at either end for fastening to the cabinet.
