    Description

    VINTAGE 1930's Classroom Demonstration Wood Slide-Rule, 42 inches,ONE OF A KIND!
I was a junior and senior school math teacher in Bowling Green, OH for 30+ years. The superintendent had this hanging in his office and gave it to me when he retired. I kept it in my classroom along with a Picket classroom slide rule until I retired in 2011. I've had it hanging in my office since then but have now decided to part with it.
Considering its age, the slide rule is in great condition. It says 'Bowling Green Junior High School. Made in the USA'. No manufacturer is indicated. There is some penciled writing under the slide, "H.R. Treyer March, 1936". I thought this might be a teacher but could not find any record of him/her. There is other doodling/writing, probably by some students. The slide works with no problems. I've carefully maintained the fine finish since acquiring the slide rule.
    Dimensions: 42" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2"
Shipping: Shipping costs for this item vary GREATLY between services due to size, weight, time, and distance  so I've offered several choices including USPS, UPS, and FEDEX. I can do any type of service you would like, just let me know. The slide rule will be carefully packed with plenty of padding to safely get it to you.
Since the slide rule is a unique/one of a kind item, there are no others available for me to compare prices. It would be a GREAT addition to a slide rule collection. Not sure about the price? Make me a SERIOUS offer.
