    Description

    DESCRIPTION
    An original and authentic The City Baking Institute porcelain sign. This is a rare sign that was originally used on delivery trucks for The City Baking Institute. It is a very heavy piece of porcelain enameled steel, featuring a slightly raised. convex center.
    Four holes around the outer edge are original to the sign, and would have accommodated bolts for fastening the sign to a truck.
    This unusual piece displays beautifully!
    CONDITION
    The orange, green and white field is in outstanding condition. Light surface scratches commensurate with age.
    The outer edge, where the sign would have been affixed to a truck is worn. Small dents, rust, enamel loss.
    The back side of the sign is finished in gray, and shows wear, including scratches, enamel loss and soiling.
