    23 Scales x 25 cm (10").
    11 math scales one side and 12 chemistry scales other side.
    The 257 was made from 1952 to 1968.
    Date code on this rule is SC (March
    1968).
    It is very unusual to see a new in box Hemmi 257 chemistry slide rule.
    This one has been sealed in its original packaging for 51 years.
    Rule, sealed plastic sleeve, hard cardboard slip cap case, and manual in
    Japanese are
    in new and unused perfect condition.
    No flaws. No blemishes.
    Rule is in sealed Hemmi plastic sleeve. Is clean and white.
    Metal parts are clean and bright.
    Shelf box is in excellent condition. Has end labels; o
    ne is perfect and the other is partial.
    Very slight shelf dirt. This is an unusually fine shelf box.
