    Description

Up for your consideration is a Very Old London Assurance Corporation A.D. 1720 Enamel Sign 18" X 12" It is a great vintage Enamel/Porcelain (?) sign that as can be seen has some loss it measures 18" wide and 12" high and is heavy (weighs in at about 3.5 pounds prior to safe packing).
There is what maybe a date on back 3-16 (See Pic March 1916?). It is also marked bottom right but hard to make it all out. Pretty sure its Balto (Baltimore Enamel & Novelty Company) and their address whose claim to fame was license plates in very early 1900's they also hand marked the back of plates etc. with dates in same color as front. Sign does have 3 mounting holes top/bottom and one on each side.......Thanks for looking in!!
