    Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin
    (28 April 1870 – 6 January 1935), was a British artist and illustrator best known for his paintings and sketches of animals, sports, and rural English life
    He illustrated  in many dog-related titles, including The Snob, Dog Days, Just among Friends and The Gay Dog.
