This is a replacement to an extreme service CAT fuel cap that Caterpillar offers. Because this item is sold new at your CAT dealer for around 5.00+, this cap gives you the chance to save big money . In the pictures above you can see the original OEM(expensive) fuel cap on the left, the replacement on the right.  If you require the original extreme service cap, we can also supply that for you.
This cap fits a wide range of machine models. If you need us to confirm a fit on your machine, please measure your fuel tank pipe.  Also see note about the adapter ring for fuel tank necks of 4 inches.
As high as fuel is at the moment you are going  to need more than just a rag in your fuel fill. Anyone who has lost one of these on a job site knows how handy it would be to have a spare to keep dirt and dust out of your fuel tank. But don't worry about the price, you'll be getting exactly what you need at a fraction of the cost.
Also available is an adapter ring.  If you have a threaded fuel tank neck that is 4 inches and do not have a locking cap (ie you have a screw on style neck)  you can purchase an additional
adapter ring
