TruStone is real stone that has been pulverized into a fine powder, then mixed with an acrylic resin, poured into a mold, and placed in a vacuum or pressure chamber to get rid of any potential bubbles. The resulting product is actual stone that is turnable on a lathe.

Full Disclosure:
This piece of red jasper TruStone has a crack or two in it. But as stones often have cracks, I believe this only adds more character to the piece. The cracks have been sealed with cyanoacrylate, which was then polished.
