  • Condition: 30.5"Tx28"W. These letters once belonged to a woman who worked at the Pittsburgh Woolworths for 45 years. They were given to her at some point as a gift for years of service. Letter are cast metal possible aluminum. People think of aluminum as being a newly created metal, but it was actually discovered in 1808. Each "O" has been gilded in gold several times. All have scuffs, gold wearing and marks from age and use. Some areas metal is exposed. All have great age patina. All have brackets for hanging on back. A few brackets have bent, but not bad. This is a great chance for someone to own a neat piece of Pittsburgh history. Great item for business or restaurant decore. If buyer is from Pittsburgh I am willing to meet you at Grove City outlet on I-79 for pick up. Please see pictures and feel free to ask questions.

    Antique 1904-1910 Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Wool Letter "O" Size: 30.5"Tx28"W. I had 4 letter O's and now have one left. Please note that the last two pictures are of the remaining "O". These letters once belonged to a woman who worked at the Pittsburgh Woolworths for 45 years. They were given to her at some point as a gift for years of service. Letter are cast metal. Each "O" has been gilded in gold several times. All have scuffs, gold wearing and marks from age and use. Some areas metal is exposed. All have great age patina.
