This 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan is an absolutely stunning fifties Ford having benefited from a frame-off rotisserie restoration. 1956 was the second year for Ford's top of the line passenger car which took its name from Henry Ford's "Fair Lane" estate in Michigan. When Ford replaced its Crestline in 1955 with the Fairlane, it completely redesigned the body. The new bodies were longer, wider, and lower which gave the Fairlane a sportier, more futuristic look. The new-look Fairlanes also sported new "V" shaped side trim, special Fairlane badging, chrome headlight trim, fender skirts, and panoramic wraparound windshields, which were already on General Motors' premium level marques including Oldsmobile, Buick, and Cadillac. The 1956 Fairlanes were modestly updated with revisions to the front marker lights, a slightly more pronounced side trim, and an updated instrument cluster after customer's complained that the '55 see-through speedometers were hard to read in the sun. This particular '56 Fairlane comes to us from a prominent Ford collector who purchased it from the fellow who completed the frame off rotisserie restoration. Powering this 1956 Ford is a 292 Cubic Inch V8 engine paired with an upgraded Holley Single 4 barrel carburetor providing improved reliability and power. Anybody can drive this Club Sedan since the 292 V8 is hooked up to an Automatic Transmission. This 1956 Fairlane Club Sedan is a particularly well-optioned example. With power brakes, bringing this 50s Ford to a stop is much simpler. Power steering ensures that you can get in and out of tight parking spaces with ease. A rear mounted continental kit adds to the classic look of this 56 Ford. The exterior has been beautifully refinished in its original color scheme of Meadow Mist Green and Colonial White. The chrome and brightwork around the exterior of this car is stellar. Riding on Wide Whitewall Radial tires with full wheelcovers, this 1956 Fairlane Club Sedan has a fantastic look and even better ride. The interior on this '56 Ford Fairlane is fantastic! The front and rear bench seats have been reupholstered in beautiful two-tone Dark Green and Light Green Vinyl, which complement the exterior look of the car. The dash, door panels, and steering wheel all appear to be in their stock configuration. The dash is equipped with a 120 MPH speedometer, temperature gauge, fuel gauge, oil pressure and generator indicator lights, and an upgraded retro-style AM/FM/Cassette Entertainment System. Whether you're looking to purchase your very first classic car or you're a 50s Ford collector, this 1956 Ford Fairlane Club Sedan would make an excellent choice. Give us a call today!
